Dual Switchingboard Systems designed for a safer connection between windings in Transformers. It allows the same transformer to be used with different connections in different Electrical Substations and different voltage ratings. Differing from the standard of tap changing in RW, the dual switching board is designed for handling after the transformer has been opened.

A leak proof barrier separates the windings from the bushings physically during maintenance, service, or transportation.

Barrierboard is used to physically separate the tap changer from the tank which reduces the impact of a possible tap changer failure on other components of the transformer. A barrierboard is made of ENPAYBOARD® with adequate mechanical and electrical properties and meets the requirement up to the highest level of voltage between the contacts. In case of maintenance required on a tap changer, thanks to Barrierboards, it is not necessary to take the whole oil out of the transformer. Barrierboards are designed according to customer specifications considering all mechanical and electrical requirements for your transformer. A series of tests have been performed by us to verify and improve the electrical withstand strength of Barrierboards, i.e. between the through lead conductor terminal studs and ground and to improve pressure withstand. Barrierboards are dried and stabilized with oil before delivery. Hydraulic pressure tests are performed upon customer request on simulaton parts. A hydraulic test with increased oil pressure of more than 2 bar during determined time.
